AI Privacy Checker

Paste text you plan to share with an AI assistant. We look for common personal details and replace them with placeholders, entirely inside your browser.

Your text never leaves this page

Detection runs on your device. Our tool code does not save, log or transmit the text you enter. Resetting clears the tool state. Hosting page-view analytics is separate from tool input; see the Privacy page for the current disclosure.

Start here

Start with “Try a fake example” rather than real private data. Check, review each finding, then create and edit a redacted copy before copying it elsewhere. Pattern matching can miss names, secrets, health details and context, or flag harmless numbers. No findings does not mean safe, and redaction does not guarantee anonymity. Reset clears this page’s tool state, not your clipboard.

1. Paste your text

2. Review findings

Results appear here after you press Check.

What this checker can and cannot spot

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers in common formats
  • Card numbers that pass the Luhn checksum
  • IDs explicitly labelled, such as "account number:" or "policy no."
  • Simple street addresses like "42 Willow Brook Lane"

Detection uses simple patterns, so it will miss things and occasionally flag harmless numbers. It does not detect names, dates of birth, health information, passwords or context that identifies someone. Always read your text yourself before sharing it.
